Louisa County Public Schools is proud to offer free preschool at all four of our elementary schools in order to provide kindergarten readiness skills to eligible children with the greatest needs. Children who will be four-years-old by September 30, 2025 and who live in the school's attendance zone may apply for preschool. Eligibility requirements can be found below.

2025 - 2026 LCPS Preschool Timeline
LCPS Application Window: January 21st - March 21st

The Preschool Application Window Closes: March 21, 2025 at 11:59 PM
Preschool Screening and Application Day: March 27th at the Metal Gym from 9 AM - 7 PM
Notification of Acceptance or Placement on the Waitlist: June 2025
Preschool Confirmation or Declining Attendance: July 2025

Complete the electronic form above. Required documents (listed below) must be emailed to preschool@lcps.k12.va.us, or brought with you on March 27th during your scheduled appointment time. When your paperwork is complete, someone will call you to schedule an appointment.

Family income is above 200% but at or below 350% of federal poverty guidelines in the case of students with special needs or disabilities
