2022-2023 preschool application process!

Louisa County Public Schools is proud to offer free preschool at all four of our elementary schools in order to provide kindergarten readiness skills to eligible children with the greatest needs. Children who will be four-years-old by September 30, 2022 and who live in the school's attendance zone may apply for preschool. Eligibility requirements can be found below.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  1. Proof of Income (one of the following)

    • W-2

    • Pay stub

    • Letter from employer stating wages and number of hours worked per week.

    • Income Tax Return

  2. If not employed (one of the following)

    • SSI

    • TANF

    • SNAP benefits

  3. Child Support or Alimony documentation

Eligibility

  • Resident of Louisa County

  • Four-Years Old (by September 30 of 2021-2022 school year)

  • Family income at or below 200% of federal poverty guidelines,

  • Homelessness, or

  • Student's parents or guardians are school dropouts, or

  • Family income is above 200% but at or below 350% of federal poverty guidelines in the case of students with special needs or disabilities
